Reports indicate that pirates have attacked a vessel in Brass, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The vessel, boarded in 03’11N // 007’49E, approximately 115 NM SE of Brass, was attacked on Monday December 13 around 2.30pm.

This comes exactly one week after pirates kidnapped one NSCDC personnel and four civilians attached to the kitchen contractor working with Conoil Plc located in Koluama 1 of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa state.

All are advised to exercise caution when transiting the area.
